Our 2021 Designer Bag Wishlist

The Luxaholic team got together to decide on their 2021 Wishlist bags. What better way to start the new year by having big goals, and an even bigger bag collection!  Don’t forget to add the bags to your 2021 wishlist by pressing the ‘heart’ button.

I’m all about style and functionality.  I don’t care about what’s in trend, I choose bags that are practical for me as a mum with 2 kids.

I am not a big fan of Celine, but since I read the interview with Virginia of @whatveewore I was converted as I really love the simplicity of the brand. My favourite at this moment is this Classic bag, I love the structure and the fact that can be worn multiple ways. Being a mum of 2 kids, I find a crossbody bag essential when out and about. The fact that the strap can be removed to make it a clutch is great so that I can take it for dinners with my husband and friends.

I have been eyeing this Louis Vuitton Neonoe Canvas bag for a while and I have decided to finally put it in my Wishlist. I love how much you can fit on it and how comfortable it looks. Being monogram canvas, I can be carefree and know that it will last me a very long time and will still look like new.

This PRADA bag caught my eye, I love the colour and the style. This would be perfect for a day out or evening when I want to wear all black with some nude shoes and bag. I absolutely love the chain detail, it gives it an edgy look.

I choose bags that have classic silhouettes that will last me a long time.

I have a large laptop for work and need a large bag to carry it in, so this Louis Vuitton Montaigne GM is perfect.  I also love the colour contrast with red and Navy. This style is sold out so I’ll have to go preloved if I want one of these! The LV print is subtle which I love.

The Louis Vuitton Onthego MM is a multi purpose bag which could be used as work or baby bag! Hard to decide on colour but I particularly love it in the empreinte print!  The below image from instagram is of the GM size, which looks like it could fit everything and then some.

3. BUGLARI / BLVG Serpenti Forever Bag

I love the vibrant colour of the BVLGARI Serpenti Forever bag and it’s a truly gorgeous bag for special occasions!

I love bags for FASHUN.  I don’t always choose the most practical bags, I like to collect bags that are both fun and if they’re practical, it’s a bonus!

The Palm Springs Mini is a bag that has eluded me for some years.  I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get the mini version or the middle size, Palm Springs PM.  I just don’t see myself as a serious backpack wearer, and I feel that the mini size is the perfect in-between, where I can wear it is a backpack (should we get to travel again, post COVID) and or I can wear it crossbody and look like that stylish-mum-type that is always well put together.  This bag gives me those vibes, rightly or wrongly.  For this reason, it is my first purchase of 2021 and I’m super excited to get my hands on it!

I have a love and hate relationship with this bag, and like most of my toxic relationships of past, there’s something that always compels me towards it … sometimes I think it’s the UGLIEST bag I have ever laid eyes on, and at other times I become absolutely OBSESSED with it.  For that I blame the fact nearly every second influencer and has this ‘IT’ bag.  I almost have to buy it just to get it out of my system, so that I would know what it’s like… only real bag addicts will even understand what I’m talking about.  If only there was a ‘try before you buy’ option because at this price, bag regret is a real scenario that I am wanting to avoid.  If this bag doesn’t ghost me by end of 2021 then maybe I will end up picking one up.  However, if I was to invest in this bag, I would go with the large size (similar to my Chanel Jumbo) so I can fit everything and the kitchen sink.

This is my least practical choice of the year, but it’s just so cute, don’t you think?

This price point is ‘affordable’ for a Chanel bag if you can call it that, it doesn’t even fit a phone or even the Louis Vuitton key pouch, but putting rationality aside, this round style would be a great addition to my collection.  Also, since it’s so small it can slot in between my bigger bags without notice haha!  I would probably get this bag in the previous seasons 19s colours, or go with a tweed for a different texture, because why not?
